Welcome...

The International Council on Women’s Health Issues (ICOWHI) is an international non-profit association dedicated to the goal of promoting health, health care, and well-being of women throughout the world through participation, empowerment, advocacy, education, and research.

We are a multidisciplinary network of women’s health providers, planners, and advocates from all over the globe. We constitute an international professional and lay network of those committed to improving women’s health and quality of life.

Every second year, ICOWHI organizes an International Congress.  These Congresses allows an increased focus on women’s health in the host country and internationally.  We also engage in numerous advocacy and mentorship projects globally.

Although we have achieved progress in women’s health there is still so much to do. We are unlikely to achieve our goals as individuals or single organizations but by joining together in sustainable partnerships we are more likely to improve the health and well-being of women globally.

We welcome your interest in ICOWHI and commitment to the health and well-being of women and girls!
